Carmen is a black
sable and white. She was shown by me as my very first show dog. Our
first show didn't have any other cockers - so we won an award of merit.
Then went on into the Group and took a Sporting Group 4th place. Our
second show we won our puppy class but not the points.We lived in Alaska at the
time and some people from the states came out and told me how ugly my cocker
was. I cried of course but went in the ring to show the judge what this
girl could do. She beat all their cockers by the way taking a reserve only
to this very nice bitch another person owned. The judge told me she was
the nicest moving cocker he has seen in years. Made my day. Before
we could make another show - Sables were officially DQ from showing in AKC
conformation events. So Carmen never had a chance to finish.

The little tri girl in this photo " Rosie" was one of several from Carmen's litter's I wish I had never placed. Rosie went to the director of the El-Salvadorian KC in El- Salvador. She was shown in 6-9 class and won best puppy in breed, then went on to win best puppy in show -(winning over 24 other all breed puppies). This was her first showing. Next she was to go on showing in Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica. I've never heard another word from the owner to know how she did. Maybe someone someday from one of those countries will have heard about her and can tell me more. She was born in March of 1992. Her registered name Is : Desert Rose's Queen of Hearts.
