If you have read my information page - you will know I have always had and always will have a special place in my heart for sables. I remain hopeful that someday these beautiful dogs will once again be allowed to show in AKC conformation events. Meanwhile they are allowed to show in CKC (Canadian) Conformation Shows, UKC (United Kennel Club) Shows, and IABCA (International-USA) Shows, as well as perform in AKC Performance events. In Breeding sables I continue to breed with a goal of improving on the generation before it. I keep in mind which attributes I want to improve on, which I already have and want to keep, and then decide on whom I will breed to once the health testing has been completed. I do not breed my sables for color alone - color being a beautiful addition to the overall package if I happen to get one in a litter with the overall conformation package I am trying to achieve in a breeding.
